Paywast Launched Afghanistan’s First Mobile-Based News App

On November 27th, 2013 Paywast, Afghanistan’s first mobile-based social networking outlet, launched Afghanistan’s first smartphone news app called Paywast News in association with Khaama Press-Afghanistan’s largest online newspaper- and’s First Business News Portal.

The Paywast News app will enable 800,000 Afghans who have smartphones in the country, and millions of users around the world to have access to the latest political, business, entertainment and sports news from Afghanistan and the world in both Dari and English. Paywast News is available on iTunes App Store and Google Play and is free to download and use. The app can also be downloaded from or by sending an SMS – App to 729 from an AWCC, Etisalat or MTN cellphone.
