In a series of forging partnerships with popular media organizations, communication companies and government agencies, Paywast signed a new partnership agreement with United States Institute of Peace, USIP on October 10th, 2012. The USIP will use Paywast Live SMS messaging capabilities to promote youth group discussions aimed at promoting peace and security and ending violence in Afghanistan. As an independent, nonpartisan institution based in Washington, DC, the USIP was established and funded by Congress in 1984 to increase the nation’s capacity to manage international conflict without violence. The main activities of the USIP include preventing, managing, and resolving violent international conflicts both within and between states, promoting post-conflict stability and development, increasing peace building capacity and bridging research and practice in preventing, managing and resolving violent conflicts around the world. Through conclusion of this partnership with such an important and well-reputed international think-tank, Paywast provides a breeding ground for peace building efforts in our war-torn country.
