The Azmon project is a distance-learning mobile education app on Android. It is intended for preparing Afghan students for the country’s university entrance exam. Azmon initially launched as a pilot project in a select number of northern provinces in Afghanistan and was later extended across the country. Its contents are available in English, Dari, and Pashto. The app hosts hundreds of hours of video lessons and contains thousands of exam practice questions. Being the first application of its kind developed for Afghanistan, the Azmon app significantly increased the ability of students to perform well in the University Exam. As a result, USAID funded the program to better support girls’ education in Afghanistan.
